Last updated July 10, 2026
Agreement to terms
By accessing or using the Treadly application ("the App"), website at treadly.run ("the Site"), or any related services (collectively, "the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
Description of the Service
Treadly provides adaptive training plans and Run Coach guidance, records and imports runs, displays workout and route information, creates share cards, tracks running-shoe mileage, and integrates with services such as Apple Health and Strava. Features may vary by device, subscription, location, and permissions. We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or use the Service. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. Do not use the Service if applicable law prohibits you from doing so.
You must create an account to use most features of the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
Run Coach and health disclaimer
Treadly provides automated fitness information and recommendations based on the data available to it. Treadly is not a doctor, medical provider, emergency service, or human running coach, and the Service does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or a guarantee of athletic results. Readiness scores and training recommendations may be incomplete, delayed, or wrong because sensor data, imported data, user inputs, weather, and algorithms have limitations.
You are responsible for deciding whether a workout is appropriate for you. Consult a qualified health professional before starting or changing an exercise program, especially if you have a medical condition, are injured, are pregnant, or have concerns about symptoms. Stop exercising and seek appropriate help if you feel pain, faintness, chest discomfort, unusual shortness of breath, or other concerning symptoms. Do not rely on Treadly to detect an emergency or summon assistance.
Run recording and location safety
Run recording may use GPS, motion, Apple Health, and Apple Watch data. Distance, pace, route, elevation, heart rate, calories, and other metrics are estimates and may be inaccurate or unavailable. Route trimming and map display are convenience features and do not guarantee anonymity or conceal a home, workplace, school, or other sensitive location. Review routes before sharing them. Stay aware of your surroundings and do not interact with the App when it would be unsafe to do so.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service. This includes, but is not limited to: attempting to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure, interfering with or disrupting the Service for other users, reverse-engineering or scraping the Service, using the Service for any illegal purpose, or creating multiple accounts to circumvent limits or restrictions.
Third-party integrations
The Service may integrate with third-party platforms such as Apple Health, Apple Music, WeatherKit, the App Store, Strava, and social-sharing destinations. Your use of those platforms is governed by their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability or accuracy of data provided by third-party services or for content after you send it to them. You may disconnect supported integrations or revoke permissions, although the third party may retain information already sent to it under its own policies.
Subscriptions and payments
Treadly may offer a free tier and a paid "Pro" subscription. If you subscribe to Pro, payment is handled through Apple's App Store and is subject to Apple's terms. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. We do not process or store your payment information directly.
Intellectual property
The Service, including its design, code, logos, and content, is owned by Treadly and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the data and content you provide, but grant Treadly a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, modify solely for formatting, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, improve, and provide the Service to you. This license ends when the content is deleted, except for temporary backups and legal retention requirements.
User content and share cards
You may upload content such as photos and notes and create share cards that combine your content with fitness, route, plan, and shoe information. You are responsible for the content you upload and share, for having all necessary rights and permissions, and for reviewing a card before sending or posting it. Do not upload or share content that is unlawful, infringing, deceptive, harassing, hateful, sexually exploitative, invasive of privacy, or harmful to another person.
Treadly does not publish share cards to a public in-app feed. You choose whether and where to share them using device or third-party services. Sharing may reveal your location, routine, health or fitness information, photographs, or identity, and a recipient may copy or reshare that information. We may remove content stored on our systems or restrict access when it violates these Terms or applicable law.
Data and privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy.
Account deletion
You may delete your account at any time from within the App or by contacting us at privacy@treadly.run. When you delete your account, all of your data — including shoes, activities, ratings, and account information — is permanently removed from our systems. Some data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 30 days.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Mileage data synced from third-party services may not always be accurate, and you should verify important data independently.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Treadly and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Treadly and its operator from any claims, losses, or damages (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use of the Service poses a risk to us or other users. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before taking such action, except where doing so would compromise security or violate the law.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Washington State.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where possible, notify you by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
