Last updated April 4, 2026

Agreement to terms

By accessing or using the Treadly application ("the App"), website at treadly.run ("the Site"), or any related services (collectively, "the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

Description of the Service

Treadly is a running shoe mileage tracking tool. It allows you to log shoes, track distance, set mileage goals, and optionally sync activity data from third-party services such as Strava and Apple Health. The Service is provided "as is" and may be updated, modified, or discontinued at any time.

Accounts

You must create an account to use most features of the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. This includes, but is not limited to: attempting to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure, interfering with or disrupting the Service for other users, reverse-engineering or scraping the Service, using the Service for any illegal purpose, or creating multiple accounts to circumvent limits or restrictions.

Third-party integrations

The Service may integrate with third-party platforms such as Strava and Apple Health. Your use of those platforms is governed by their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability or accuracy of data provided by third-party services. You may disconnect integrations at any time from your account settings.

Subscriptions and payments

Treadly may offer a free tier and a paid "Pro" subscription. If you subscribe to Pro, payment is handled through Apple's App Store and is subject to Apple's terms. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. We do not process or store your payment information directly.

Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, code, logos, and content, is owned by Treadly and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any data you provide (shoe names, notes, photos, etc.), but you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that data as necessary to provide the Service.

User content

You may upload content such as shoe photos and notes. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share any content you upload. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms or applicable law, though we have no obligation to monitor user content.

Data and privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy.

Account deletion

You may delete your account at any time from within the App or by contacting us at privacy@treadly.run. When you delete your account, all of your data — including shoes, activities, ratings, and account information — is permanently removed from our systems. Some data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 30 days.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Mileage data synced from third-party services may not always be accurate, and you should verify important data independently.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Treadly and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Treadly and its operator from any claims, losses, or damages (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use of the Service poses a risk to us or other users. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before taking such action, except where doing so would compromise security or violate the law.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Washington State.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where possible, notify you by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
